who I am

My life is a blend of adventure and service. Motorcycles have been a passion of mine for over thirty years, and owning a wide variety of bikes has definitely shaped me into the rider I am today. A trip to the Alps on a BMW R1200GS in 2008 ignited my love for motorcycle travel, and since then, I've explored some incredible places on two wheels – from the Rockies in North America and the European Alps to the Himalayas in Asia and the Andes in South America. But my passion goes beyond personal adventures. Since 2021, I've worked as a professional motorcycle pilot for the Ironman Corporation and other sports production companies. It's a thrill to navigate those race courses, carrying a camera operator to capture footage of world championship events like the Ironman Championship in Kona and the Los Angeles Marathon. I'm also a motorcycle referee for USA Cycling, which keeps me involved in the sport I love. My background is a little different too. I recently semi-retired after a 32-year career in law enforcement. I served in a variety of roles, including computer forensics, criminal intelligence, undercover narcotics, and administrative/recruitment oversight. It's been a diverse and rewarding journey, and now I'm excited to focus on these new chapters.
